Early Childhood Music Education

BT Music and Performing Arts' early childhood programs combine the most valuable period when children develop a natural affinity for art with a structured and pedagogically based educational approach.
The main goal of these programs is to transform children's first encounter with music into a fun yet conscious learning process, developing their sense of rhythm and sound in natural ways.
Each stage lays a solid foundation for the next: with MIA, children take their first steps into music, learning to interact with it; with PIA, they guide and deepen this interaction during the piano preparation process ; and with the dance program , they transform their bodies into a means of expression.
This systematic approach allows children to simultaneously develop their ear, body, and rhythm coordination as they prepare to play an instrument.

MIA – First Steps in Music Group Class
(2.5–3.5 Years)

The MIA program is designed to introduce children to music at an early age and transform this introduction into a natural learning process.
In the lessons, rhythm, tone, melody, note values, and musical nuances are conveyed through movement, play, and storytelling .
In this way, children feel that learning is a fun process of discovery.

For children in this age group, music is not only an art form but also a tool that strengthens language development, memory, focus, and social communication .
Rhythm exercises increase bodily awareness, while musical games played in groups foster a culture of sharing and cooperation.
During this process, children learn to listen, wait, and react, while embracing music as a natural part of life.

PIA – First Steps to Piano Group Lessons
(3.5–4.5 Years)

The PIA program is a pedagogical piano beginner program designed for young children who are not yet ready for individual instrument lessons.
This program takes the rhythm and musical awareness gained at MIA to the next level by further developing it.
In the lessons, children learn to both hear and play music through ear training, rhythm exercises, solfège, singing, and beginner-level piano pieces .

Instead of rote learning, PIA focuses on helping children develop their ear-eye-hand coordination and musical perception through natural means.
In this process, students are given the opportunity to understand music as a "language": they internalize what they hear, express it through rhythms, and create with sounds.

Teachers closely monitor each student's individual progress and assess which instrument they might have a natural aptitude for in later years. This stage lays a strong foundation in music education, providing a lasting basis for children's future artistic journeys.
